We were off to a cool start this season . . . meaning a little slow. It has picked up the past week or so and some respectable fish are being caught all around the island. Bluefishing is still good on Chappy. Some of the bigger fish have been caught on fresh bait or live eels, but plenty have been caught on plugs too. Darters, bucktails, swimmers and metal have been the preferred lures. More frequent posts will be on Facebook, Livinit's MV Fishing Reports: http://www.facebook.com/livinitreports. Take care and hope to see you on the Vineyard |
With another successful season over I can't help but think of all the great people I met this year and happy to have shared fishing on the Vineyard with them all. I hope for those of you who have fished with me enjoyed yourself and learned something new along the way. I hope to see you again and if not I wish you the best of luck. Please don't hesitate to drop me an email or post on my Facebook page with any questions, comments or recommendations.
I will be presenting at Foxborough's Bass Pro Shops on March 8, 2012. If you are in the area please stop in and say hello. Bass Pro Shops will be hosting several lectures that day from fresh to saltwater fishing. If you are interested in booking a charter for the 2012 season please go to the "Guide Info" tab and submit the form or email me at matt@mvfishing.com. I hope to see you on the beach. |
